Juan Ramón Cuadrado Award for Early-Career Researchers

Researchers interested in applying for the Juan Ramón Cuadrado Award for Early-Career Researchers must submit the full text of their paper during the in-person sessions of the conference.  

Submission Deadline

The submission deadline is June 12.  

Requirements for Submissions

1. The papers must be unpublished.

 

2. They must have been prepared by: – Researchers without a PhD, regardless of their age, or – Researchers who defended their PhD thesis within the last three years.

 

3. In the case of co-authored papers, the application will only be accepted if:

 

– The candidate presents the paper,

– Is listed as the first author, and

– Provides a clear justification of their individual contribution to the paper.  

Required Documentation

Before June 13, applicants must send a signed declaration, scanned and submitted by email to info@aecr.org

Failure to submit this declaration by the deadline will result in the rejection of the application.  

Presentation and Award Decision

Eligible papers will be presented during the special session of the 50th Meeting of Regional Studies (50ª Reunión de Estudios Regionales).

The evaluation process will be conducted by a jury comprising members of the Scientific Committee of the 50th Meeting of Regional Studies and a designated special commission.

The final score will be determined by weighting 70% for the written paper, evaluated by the Scientific Committee, and 30% for the oral presentation, assessed by the special commission.

The jury’s decision shall be considered final and binding.

The award may be withheld should the jury deem that no submission meets the required standards of excellence.  

Recognition

The awarded candidate will receive an official certificate during a ceremony held as part of the 49th Meeting of Regional Studies. The result will be publicly announced during the closing ceremony of the congress.
