Conference Grant – Early Career Researchers

(Juan Ramón Cuadrado Award Candidates)

Within the framework of the 50th Meeting of Regional Studies organised by the Spanish and Catalan Regional Science Associations (AECR-ACCR), 10 conference grants are announced for early career researchers who submit a paper as a candidate for the Juan Ramón Cuadrado Award.

  1. Purpose of the Grant

The grant consists of a full waiver of the conference registration fee.

The grant has no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for financial compensation.

  1. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Submit a paper as a candidate for the Juan Ramón Cuadrado Award.
  • Be non-PhD researchers or have defended their PhD thesis within the last three years.
  • Commit to completing the conference registration process if awarded the grant.
  1. Required Documentation

Before 12 June, the following documentation must be submitted by email:

  • Full name of the applicant.
  • University or institutional affiliation.
  • Brief statement of motivation (maximum 150 words).
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • Copy of the paper submitted for the Award.

  1. Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be assessed according to:

  • The scientific quality and relevance of the submitted paper.
  • The academic trajectory of the applicant.
  • The applicant’s status as an early career researcher.

The selection committee reserves the right not to award all the grants available if the submitted applications do not meet the required scientific standards.

  1. Timeline
  • Application deadline: 12 June
  • Notification of awarded grants: 19 June
  1. In Case of Non-Award

Applicants whose candidacy does not receive the grant may:

  • Withdraw their paper, or
  • Pay the corresponding registration fee to keep their paper in the conference programme.

Failure to complete registration within the established deadline will result in the automatic withdrawal of the paper from the conference programme.
