Title: Measuring tourism from mobile phone data
Speaker: Belén González Olmos, Deputy Director General of Statistics of Economic Sectors
Taught by Coro Chasco Yrigoyen
Spatial heterogeneity is the structural instability in the form of non-constant variance in the residuals of a regression or in the model’s coefficients, which can be addressed by traditional econometric techniques or spatial econometric tools. Their flexibility and fast execution make these models an exciting alternative for large databases. In this workshop, some of these models will be presented theoretically, indicating where to find databases and code to implement them.
